Owyn started speech therapy today. He gets six months of it through the school district. After that they will evaluate him and see if he needs more. They think that he will be all caught up by then and he will not.
Owyn has had ear infections pretty much his whole life. He has probably been suffering hearing loss the whole time too. Now that he has tubes in his ears they are hoping the speech therapy will get him caught up to where he should be.
The lady, Miss Vicky, will come to our house once a week for an hour each time. Today the little monster would not participate at all. We used the time to get to know each other and figure out how we want to go forward. Towards the end Owyn was playing a little bit and trying some words and sounds.
Miss Vicky comes at 1630. Owyn is tired and grumpy then, so we will have to hope for the best.
