Vacation day I

We just got back from an eight day vacation.  It was the first real vacation we have had since before Rhys was born and all four of us had a great time.

My parents bought a cruise for all of us for their 40th wedding anniversary.  It was the four of us, the two of them, my sister and her two kids and my aunt and uncle.  We left on Thursday the 3rd of June.  The flight down to Ft Lauderdale was not bad but Rhys lost his mind once we got to the airport.  There was just too much going on and he got over stimulated.

We had a shuttle from the airport to our hotel all set up ahead of time, it just took us an hour to find the right spot to meet it.  Once we got to the hotel we got checked in and rested a little bit, then headed down for dinner.  They had a pool but it was raining so we could not hit it that first night.  They boys were not good at dinner and I called it early and took them up to bed.

Tracy and I each took a child and slept in separate beds.  It worked out pretty well, though Owyn fell off the bed the first night and took a long time to fall back to sleep.
