We took the second step on our garden this year. A couple weeks ago I went out and turned over all of the dirt, except for the herb garden.
Yesterday I picked up a kit with 72 peat moss disks in it. They are about a quarter inch tall and an inch and a half across. You add water and they puff up to be about two inches tall. You poke a hole in the top, drop in seeds and cover them back up. It has a clear plastic lid to make it into a small green house.
We planted about half of the disks. We'll keep the rest for next year. Lots of herbs along with a few vegies. We are very excited to get the garden planted. Only another couple of weeks before we can plant.
The chives are already almost a foot tall. They came through the snow like champs.
